In 2020, we completed a materiality assessment to identify and prioritize risks and opportunities linked to sustainability topics. Our vision is directly linked with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve a better sustainable future for all.
The SDGs explicitly call on all businesses to apply their creativity and innovation to solving sustainable development challenges.
In focusing our efforts, we are constantly revisiting our corporate social responsibility (CSR) to drive growth and innovation sustainably while reducing risk, and fostering transparency and trust.

As a business, we have a supplier membership of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) and regularly review our SMETA audits.
In 2025, Markem-Imaje Corp. (Keene) received a gold medal in recognition of its achievements in sustainable development, ranking among the best companies assessed by EcoVadis over the past 12 months. It managed to maintain its overall score of 80/100 despite EcoVadis revising its rating system, with thematic scores no longer rounded up to the nearest, and the new medal rating threshold being changed.
For the second time, Markem-Imaje has renewed the EcoVadis Platinum rating for its Bourg-lès-Valence, France production site. This is the highest rating this platform has awarded. Markem-Imaje is in the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Manufacture of special-purpose machinery industry.
Markem-Imaje China Co Ltd has successfully achieved its third Silver Medal. Markem-Imaje China is in the top 15% of companies rated by EcoVadis within our industry category.
Markem-Imaje India has received the EcoVadis Gold Medal for its ESG performance. The site has advanced in environmental policies, labor practices, human rights, and ethical measures.
This award places Markem-Imaje India in the top 3% of companies in its sector of activity assessed by EcoVadis.
