Art Contest
We are proud to announce the success of the contest. Originating from every corner of the world, you were very numerous to take part in the contest.
With a total of 130 candidates from 31 countries (United States, France, China, Japan, Turkey, Germany, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Russia, Bulgaria, Canada, Austria, Spain, Thailand, Italy, Egypt, Romania, India, Serbia, Brazil, Colombia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Israel, Ukraine, Niger, Togo, Republic of Georgia, Sweden, Ghana), we have gathered a great collection of works related to marking and coding.

1st prize: SanMyel (Guadeloupe, France) "L'art éclaté, un outil qui me permet de recréer, autour d'une oeuvre, la source de son inspiration ; en mettant en résonance des forces et des énergies de la nature, les Arts associés aux Sciences et à des modes de perception subtils..." |

2nd prize: Shaurya Kunar (United States) "Some claim that we are experiencing a new society, variedly known as an information society, knowledge society, cyber and virtual society; with extreme emphasis on constant, rapid and invisible change. This is the society where people are beyond the hold of the past, worried about the present and terrified about the future." |

3rd prize: Chihiro Naka (Japan) "I believe it is meaningful to explore the modern expression with the traditional way. My motif is plants. They have marvelously shapes and splendid colors from the natural world. I have been trying to capture the aesthetics of plants and represent my art with black ink and white space. Marking and coding is similar to painting on paper and finding the factor of the beauty of plants." |

To show its commitment to nurturing young talent, Markem-Imaje, a global leader in marking and coding, organized a free entry art contest.
The contest was aimed at promoting young visual artists throughout the world in need of artistic recognition and who are challenged by the idea of establishing a creative and communicative partnership with an innovative, high-tech marking and coding company. The contest theme: “Imaje, Marking and Coding.”
Together with the IMS, Markem-Imaje is committed to supporting community involment at the local as well as international level. We wish to encourage and open the doors for young talent and hope that together we will help build an open-minded world.
